How we calculate
Every number on Agonistiki Data Analytics either comes straight from API-Football or is calculated from that data in code. This page explains the calculations. We do not predict results and we do not give opinions.
Momentum ("estimate · Agonistiki Data Analytics")
Our own estimate, never an official statistic. One bar per 3 minutes from kick-off to the current minute. Baseline: the home side's share of shots on goal, total shots and corners. Events: goals, red and yellow cards, with an effect that fades over a few bars. Without statistics and events it is not shown.
Team of the matchday
Only once every match of the matchday is finished. Eligible: players with an API rating and at least 45 minutes. The best 4-3-3 by rating and match position; if a position lacks eligible players, there is no team.
Streaks
Current runs over a team's finished matches: wins, unbeaten, winless, defeats, scoring, clean sheets. Shown from 3 matches.
Minutes per goal and per 90
Minutes played divided by goals, only with at least one goal; the "best rate" ranking counts players with 300+ minutes. "Per 90" = value divided by minutes times 90.

Player statistics where the provider has none
For competitions where the provider has no player statistics (coverage is checked per competition and season). We calculate them from the match events and line-ups (appearances, minutes, goals, penalties, cards) and label them "Agonistiki Data Analytics calculation from match events". Assists are shown only where the provider sends them.
Fixture difficulty
From the opponent's table position: 1–4 hard, 5–8 medium, 9 and below easy. An opponent without a position (e.g. a European one) gets no colour.
New faces and transfers
A new player is anyone who has played (starting or as a substitute) for a Super League club this season without having played for it last season; for the winter window, anyone who has played since it opened without having played earlier in the season. Promoted clubs are not compared: we have no line-ups of theirs from last season. Move type and previous club come from the data provider only when confirmed (a club with an id, a player who has played or is on the squad list); otherwise we write "New at the club this season". Dates are the provider's move dates. We publish no fees and no rumours.
